Early Childhood Equity Fund Program
Some no-cost spots in our program are offered to children from a historically marginalized ethnic community. Part-day spots in our Infant-Toddler and Preschool program are funded by Oregon’s Early Childhood Equity Fund through the Student Success Fund to offer minority children access to high-quality, culturally specific care, and early education.
Our Programs offer
Infant Toddler part-day program
Preschool part-day program
Monthly Parent Workshops
Sensory-friendly designed classroom
USDA-approved breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided.
Prioritized students
Identify as Black/African/African American
Students at high risk of social exclusion due to linguistic or socioeconomic factors
Students with high-risk factors for exclusionary performance, including poor academic performance, prior suspension, and behavioral diagnosis.
Eligibility
Washington or Multnomah County resident
From a historically marginalized ethnic community.
Children must turn 3 or 4 years old by September 1st of their enrollment year to enroll in the preschool classroom.
Children 2 months to 3 years (after September 1st) of their enrollment year are eligible for the Infant Toddler program.
Parent requirements
Attend a Parent orientation before enrollment
Attend a monthly Parent Education Workshop
Volunteer two hours a month in the program for socialization
Complete weekly Parent-Child Interaction activities and upload them to Kaymbu
Attend three parent-teacher conferences per school year.
Complete an Ages and Stages Questionaire twice a year
